A brief introduction...

And an invitation to keep an eye on this space!

Maybe it's because this winter just doesn't seem to want to end, but it's hard for us to believe that it's been more than a month since we launched this business. Navigating from working for a company to building your own has definitely been interesting, challenging but also so rewarding!

We've been firing on all cylinders since February and our initial push to get TilesInspired started has come a long way. Our products are getting traction (thank you for your sample purchases!) and beginning to turn into orders. So it feels like the right time to turn our attention towards getting our blog started!

For our first post, we wanted to give a little shout out and share a link to one of our own favourite IG feeds and blogs,  Interior Design Toronto. You might already be following them for the latest news on great deals and contests (like a chance at a $2,000 Structube gift card if you live in Hamilton)! IDTO is also a great place to find that perfect GTA vendor to source your interior design materials from.

They have an awesome database of design vendors all across the GTA that you can filter based on the stuff that you're looking for, or by the neighbourhoods that you're shopping in.

IDTO also interviewed us last week us as newcomers to the Toronto (and beyond!) tile scene -- hence the brief introduction that we alluded to in our blog title today.

We promise that we're working hard on some great content of our own right now, and we'll be sharing a post or two per month going forward. The focus will be on topics near and dear to our hearts, so expect some design tips, insights from some amazing interior designers and trades members,  architectural inspiration,  and of course some fun facts about tiles.

So keep an eye on this space! And if you'd like to be notified about new products, special offers, or our blog posts, scroll down to our footer and either join our mailing list, or follow us on Instagram or Facebook.

That's all for now -- have a great rest of your week!

A complete style guide of arrangements for Subway and Candlestick Tiles

April 04, 2019 1 Comment

"Often the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a subway tile is a white 3" X 6" in a classic horizontal arrangement. It's a timeless look, but if you'd like to push the design envelope a bit further, we've also included a few other arrangement and colour options that you might want to consider."

TilesExplained: Using PEI ratings to select tiles that won't wear out in your space

August 20, 2018 3 Comments

"...you don’t always need to try to buy the tile with the highest PEI rating, just the tile with a high enough rating for your intended use. A lot of beautiful decorative wall tiles are made in a way that results in a more delicate glaze, which is perfectly fine for most walls."
